The Coldest Winter I Ever Spent was a Summer in SF

A few weekends back, Spencer and I took another trip to Modesto to escape San Francisco's bitter cold summer. We spent a whole day by the pool, catching some rays and exposing Rufus to the pool for the first time. He absolutely loved the water, btw (who says Bulldogs can't swim?).

In between drinking beer, trying to get a tan and swimming with Ru, we took a quick trip to get Spencer a hair cut in McHenry Village. While he was getting his trim, I popped over to The Boutique at Salon Salon. Normally, I wouldn't even bother because it's outrageously overpriced but since I had some time I decided to meander in.

They were having a pretty big sale. The racks towards the back had some awesome discounted prices off of some high-end designer brands. I was debating over a Trina Turk sweater when the most beautiful jacket in the world caught my eye...size 6, just my size! I wrapped it around my body and swayed from side to side in front of the mirror. I knew there was no way I was leaving it behind.

I cringed slightly as I anticipated the price tag but was overjoyed to see that it was significantly reduced. It was originally $525, marked down to $275 - still pricey but manageable. It's the PERFECT San Francisco coat. Now I have a reason to look forward to the cold summer months in the bay.

It was worth every last penny.

xoxo
